Poetic Temple P. O. ET. S: A Night of Poetry and Live Art
As a part of its current campaign fundraising £6 million which ends in March 2026,
The Africa Centre has been host to a series of unique Open Mic Poetry Night experiences in partnership with Poetic Temple P. O. ET. S x The Africa Centre, kicking off on December 11th 2025. Curated by the visionary duo Stella B and Nat Nye, the events have not disappointed in their dynamic memorable and exclusive uniqueness.
“Over the months, we have brought the Africa Centre empowerment nights that enrich and strengthen our knowledge of the African continent with themes such as Mansas Gold, African God’s and Goddesses and People of ExtraTerrestrial Substance.
A Celebration of the Power of Words
Since its debut in 2018, Poetic Temple has impressed audiences at the private members club H Club in Covent Garden and also at Shoreditch House October 2024, showcasing the incredible talents of performers like legendary UK Rapper Lioness, Lyric L, Spoken Word guru El Crisis, and the incredibly emotive Zena Edwards. The event provides a safe and inspiring environment for poets to share their work, and for audiences to connect with the wide range of talents that exist in London.
"We believe in the healing that spoken word and poetry can provide for everyone as they channel their inner worlds into the pen and upon the paper" - Mansa Harts
